About Solangé
It was during my sophomore year Broadcast Journalism class that I found my passion for media production. I had always been interested in the media and entertainment industry as theatre was my first passion growing up. I knew that I was certainly not an on-air personality, but I found comfort in contributing to the stories told elsewhere. I remember the moment like it was yesterday. I had just walked into WUSA 9’s studio, located at home in Washington, D.C., for a class trip. Seeing how the team worked together to complete various tasks motivated me to continue practicing my storytelling skills. I knew in that very moment that this was where I was supposed to be in one form or another. When I am not in class or working on a project, you can find me curled up with a book or playing Hay Day!
